Мечта о полете, которая существует уже много столетий, раскрывает пределы человеческих возможностей. Это не просто история технических попыток, а символ стремления к свободе через преодоление физических возможностей человека. От первых эскизов до реальных попыток взлететь, от кинематографа до фестивалей «Бёрдмен» прослеживается один и тот же импульс: мечта стать свободным от физических рамок. Наблюдая за визуальной эволюцией желания взлететь, становится ясно, что полет это не только про развитие технологий, но в основном, в бесконечных попытках, в движении к невозможному и стремлении к свободе. Каждая глава является олицетворением этого порыва, через бумагу, через действие, через экран и через игру. В каждой из них человек проходит через сопротивление с собственным телом, что делает мечту о полете вечной. Не смотря на свою непостижимость, идея полета продолжает вдохновлять на смелые попытки, падения и повторные пробы стремления вверх. Полет становится метафорой свободы, попыткой выйти за пределы невозможного и бесконечностью пробовать, не смотря на провалы. Это исследование раскрывает желание человека летать, как птица со стороны вечного стремления к свободе, ведь даже если эта свобода недоступна человеку физически, он не перестанет стремиться к ней.
В работе с темой визуального исследования автор пришел к выводу о необходимости обратить внимание на вечное стремление человека к свободе, посредством движения к невозможному, то есть, к полету.
В процессе исследования автор выделил основные приемы, которые будут использованы для создания коллекции одежды. К ним относятся:
самодельная форма крыла
применение каркасных форм и легкой ткани
использование метафор и образов, подтверждающих вечное стремление к невозможному, как акт свободы
Автор хочет завершить свое визуальное исследование строчкой из песни зарубежного исполнителя: «„Я учусь летать, но у меня нет крыльев“».
