I found and digitized a frame from a film photograph taken during my parents’ trip to Uzbekistan in the 1980s. In it, I saw a woman walking in front of a mosque and a market. The atmosphere of that photo inspired me to bring this moment to life and move it into the future.
First, I developed illustrated staged frame for animation, and then created a short ai video in which a contemporary Eastern woman walks confidently past a market, where women are hanging carpets against the backdrop of a fortress.
