Эпоха культурной глобализации
Субкультуры нередко оказывают большое влияние сразу на несколько стран, поэтому будет некорректно не упомянуть о халлю («Korean Wave»). Халлю — это глобальный феномен, именующий волну популярности корейской культуры в Азии в 90-е, которая позже накрыла собой множество стран и повлияла на общие тренды в моде, музыке, кино, и конечно кулинарии. Кафе в корейской тематике используют устоявшиеся образы, которые легко идентифицировать как визуал, отсылающий к корейской поп-музыке. Однако даже те, кто ничего не знает об азиатской поп-культуре, все равно понимают что этот стиль транслирует образ Азии. Согласно этому утверждению некоторые бренды, рассчитанные на широкую аудиторию, перенимают стиль корейской поп-музыки и элементы утрачивают изначальный смысл, но не принадлежность.
